I’m Going Back

ww_logo_email

I am returning to the regular WW meetings tonight.  I know how to do it on my own, but the truth is that I am the kind of person who needs that motivation of the weigh-in every week.  I need the accountability.  Good ol’ Loo tries, but there is nothing like the face-to-face motivation of the meetings every week.  I’ve been good today, but tomorrow will be the new day one.

Like the gym, this is for me.  I am getting rather selfish these days, but it is for my own good.

Proof – Sort Of

Just in case anyone doubted the whole gym thing, here’s proof.  I can’t actually take a picture of myself on the equipment.  It isn’t allowed.  Not everyone is blogging about their jiggly butts!  :D

The Key:

gym

A longer gym post will follow if I can feel my legs once I leave the gym tonight!

Day 12

Yeah . . . I know there is a gap there.  The weekend involved chocolate ice cream, and I was ready to give up.  I recovered and did okay foodwise Monday, Tuesday and today.  Tomorrow I am making time to go to the gym.  Tomorrow I am starting over.  Get thee behind me chocolate ice cream!

P. S.  I still managed to lose 1 pound.

My Window on the World

My office window is huge!  I mean seriously huge, and it looks out on the downtown area of our little town.  From here, I can see all that makes us unique.  Take Red Pick-Up Guy.

Red parked in front of my office window while his wife went in the the drugstore.  Red just started lightly tooting his truck horn.  When I looked up to see what was going on, he was talking to himself.  Next thing I know, he is has whipped his cigarette lighter and is trying to light his keys on fire.

Red noticed me looking at him and became just a bit upset.  (If you blow your horn right in front of my window, I can’t help but look up, Red!)  He looked at me, mumbled something, and then he cranked his truck and moved down a space.

What does this have to do with weight loss?  Nothing.  However, some things just need sharing.

hostess-cupcakeAfter checking no fewer than eight times, TFK is most joyous to annonce that these three delicious little morsels are one point!  No, that isn’t one point each.  That is one point period!

This Little Pig Went wii, wii, wii

So last night I went to my friend Wanda wii’s house.  We will call her Wanda wii to distinguish her from Wanda Gym.  After a dinner of cheese-less* Subway subs, we decided to hook up her wii fit.  She won it in a contest at work and has had it for a while now.  Last night seemed as good a time as any to hook it up.  I sat down in her floor to check it out.  Then I got up to hit the sync button on the wii.  Then I got down to hit the sync button on the wii fit.  It didn’t sync.  I still don’t know what I did wrong.  I got up to get to hit the sync button on the wii again.  Then I got down to hit the sync button on the wii fit again.  By this time Wanda wii is laughing and saying, “You’ll get your work out hooking up the thing.”  After two attempts, we got a non-flashing light!  Yay!  Success!

Once I had pretty much crawled around Wanda wii’s entire living room, we had everything ready.  We set up a profile and the wii voice invited me to step on for my initial assessment.  I am not sure, but I think the wii fit groaned when I first stepped on it!  I was just a bit insulted.  At any rate, here are the results of m initial wii assessment.

  • My BMI is 48.1.  That’s in the obese range, but my jiggly butt had already told me that.
  • I weigh 326 pounds.
  • My wii age is 44.  That is seven more years than my actual age.  To be honest, I was kind of surprised.  With my weight, I thought that I would be much older than my actual age.

The wii has possibilites for being a good thing for Wanda wii and I get together, but I actually like the gym better.  Who woulda thunk it?
